Not possible to remove Gigabyte Command Center.
Not possible to remove Gigabyte Command Center.
So I accidentally installed this poor Gigabyte Command Center software and now, for the hundredth time, I can't remove it completely. Every time I turn on my PC, this thing starts up again (even after a fresh W11 setup). There are two .exe files in:
"C:\Windows\System32"
GigabyteDownloadAssistant.exe
GigabyteUpdateService.exe
I can close the processes in Task Manager and delete those two files, but once I restart the PC they come back right away. At first I thought they might be coming back through OneDrive, which I don't use at all, though it's possible they were set up during my previous W11 installation. I did notice some Gigabyte files in my OneDrive profile—don't know how they ended up there since I never use OneDrive. But after deleting everything from OneDrive, this Gigabyte CC still shows up. It's really frustrating. Any suggestions?
I fixed it. Of all places there is a BIOS setting that I can turn off. Unbelievable that Gigabyte has a hidden setting like this, Has really put me off ever getting Gigabyte again.
