Not possible to modify BIOS settings for ROG X670E Extreme.
You're facing challenges with your BIOS settings and hardware behavior. It sounds like the system is automatically adjusting certain parameters for stability. For your 7950X, hitting a high voltage of 1.47V suggests potential power delivery issues. Adjusting core voltages to 5.4V at 1.2V via Ryzen Master worked well before delidding, but now it's rebelling. Tightening DRAM timings is also problematic. Consider checking BIOS updates, verifying power supply health, and ensuring proper cooling. If the problem persists, consult a specialist or revisit hardware compatibility.
Consider a BIOS update. If it fails, simply reset the board—ideally a 2DIM board similar to the Tachyon, especially if you push overclocking limits.
Just give it back straight away. Asus hasn’t really improved much in quality lately, so this isn’t too surprising. For a replacement, go for a 2DIM board such as the B650E Tachyon if you like working with RAM OC. Otherwise, just pick any board that fits your needs and meets all your I/O requirements. The top-of-the-line boards are pretty pointless until we start talking about OC boards like the Tachyon or those EVGA Kingpin models.
I understand the situation. The software has several issues, but because of my lack of experience I discovered why I couldn't adjust the DRAM timings. In the BIOS I enabled memory context restore, so it only recalls the previous timings. That’s understandable since this is the first all-AMD technology build I’ve ever worked on. It fixes the basic problem but doesn’t clarify why I can’t set a CPU voltage offset. I’ve experimented with PBO settings, but Asus only allows temperature differences and not offsets. It seems more complex than what Jayztwocents used, which had adjustable TJmax and curve optimizer per level. I’ll keep trying to tweak more settings to see if it works.
