Not possible to lower voltage for your CPU.
Hello, I've been attempting to lower the voltage on my i7-13700K CPU while using an MSI Pro Z790-A Wi-Fi motherboard. Changing the core voltage or adding an offset hasn't made a difference; the CPU still reads 1.36V. I've tried experimenting with Load-Line Calibration, but nothing changed. Do I have any settings to disable in order to successfully undervolt? Thanks in advance!
You might be misreading the voltage sensor—it’s designed for the standard voltage, not the actual value. The BIOS needs adjusting; XTU is usually better than the default. If you’re using a newer BIOS, it could have microcode with undervolt protection. Check MSI’s BIOS settings to switch to a version without UVP.
Absolutely, you're correct—I got it wrong. It was the video sensor that caused the issue. Thanks!
