I was attempting to lower the voltage on my dedicated GPU, but unfortunately MSI doesn’t allow this adjustment. Do you know a safe voltage setting for this particular GPU? It tends to overheat a lot, and even though it offers more power, thermal throttling makes it worse than my Intel UHD 620. Your help would be really appreciated! Also, the status bar above seems blank—maybe nothing is using it at the moment?

Have you explored simple tricks that occasionally boost laptop speed?

It seems you're referring to optimizing your setup for better performance and cooler operation. You mention keeping the laptop running at low settings but still experiencing overheating, especially during intense games like Valorant. Using a laptop stand can help, and playing at lower resolutions or frame rates might reduce strain. Avoiding excessive cooling solutions could also make a difference.

The core clock and memory clock settings are quite high, which can affect performance. Reducing them might help avoid overheating, but it could also hurt speed. A balanced setting around 765 for the core and 745 for memory seems optimal, as this is the default configuration. You might also consider cleaning the laptop internally—give the fans, vents, and heatsink a good wipe, replace thermal paste if needed, and use a cooling pad. These steps can help lower temperatures and prevent throttling. However, there’s limited control over preventing excessive heat in this model, and I’ve experienced similar problems with my R5 M330.
