Yeah, that matches what I was thinking too. I'll give it a try. Turbo is running on auto, I adjust the multipliers, but it doesn't change anything in Windows. It doesn't work whether Turbo is off or on. I used the EZ Asus Overclocking tool, but the CPU still shows stock speeds even though I set the multiplier to 44. Interestingly, it also reduced BCLK by 2MHz and actually improved my clock speeds a bit.
Cpu-Z shows a 40x multi..... The only thing that would prevent F10 save, would be a corrupted bios. I think EZ tune is messing with you. Maybe try a fresh windows install on a partition to differentiate between bios and software creating this issue. Don't install the OC software though.
Completely unclear about what to do... might be worth resetting the CPU, though I'm not sure it will help—maybe not at all. Feeling stuck right now.
Well, it's hard to say for sure. You removed CMOS, so that's out. The CPU-Z says the max multiplier is 40. Usually, if it isn't hitting that speed, you just boosted the turbo frequency. Even with all cores changed, Windows will limit it in normal or power-saving mode. I hope the adjustments are saved. But since Cpu-Z only shows the frequency on Core 0, I'm not sure what's happening there. Right-click the box Cpu-Z indicates and check the other cores' speeds.
