Hi, I'm facing issues with my FX-6300 when using AMD Overdrive. Even the smallest overclock causes the screen to flicker and then the session ends, forcing a restart. No matter the voltage settings, it always happens the same. The processor has been running for about three years without OC, and it uses the master Hyper 212 cooler instead of the stock one. It never exceeded 45°C. My motherboard is an ASUS M5A78L-M LX3 with Windows 10. I recorded a video at a 0.5x overclock. It's also worth noting that when I leave the turbo core on, it runs at 1.4V and 4100 without any problems. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=63uJwetJ...e=youtu.be So, any advice or explanation about what might be going wrong?

I want to mention this; putting a motherboard in an OC mode is a bad idea.
Low power phase, no heatsink on VRM's, that's not a good approach.
2) Avoid using AMD overdrive, it raises the voltage significantly, so you shouldn't be doing OC on that board at all—though BIOS OC is the proper method.

Don't worry about boosting the overclock on that budget motherboard. The Cooler Master cooler actually performs worse than the built-in one for your configuration.

ow, I bought a "combo" when I had no knowledge of hardware, I’ll leave it then. Is it okay for my R9 270x gaming setup?
I’m thinking about upgrading, but hardware costs are high in my country. What’s the best upgrade option without switching to DDR4?

Maybe, hopefully... if AMD stops making Zen, it's still worth considering DDR4, though Skylake could become more affordable. AMD tends to offer good value for the price, and competition might push Kaby up a notch. If you really can't switch to DDR4, opt for a Haswell board and possibly an i5. An unlocked + z series board would be nice but isn't necessary.

If you wait, you can get DDR4 and the prices are gradually decreasing. Is it beneficial to buy from Intel? Would you see any improvements while playing games?

On a 60 Hz monitor, performance feels more impressive unless you're gaming, such as in GTA 5. For top FPS, an i5 that's unlocked and overclocked on a solid board would be outstanding compared to the FX. My setup of an i3 7350k and Z170MX Gaming 5 is really fast (I can exceed 5), though I reduced the voltage to 4.8 for stability.
