Checked the error code online. It seems to be due to insufficient space in the reserved partition.

I completed the task and based on my research, I needed to refresh the Windows update settings in the registry (which I did) and run multiple scans via cmd, resulting in a clean outcome.

Execute the following steps in sequence:
DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Scanhealth
DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth sfc.exe /scannow
Restart your computer
Verify Windows Update status afterward

I completed all three steps in sequence. Here are my findings:
1) No component store corruption was found. The process finished without issues.
2) The restore operation succeeded, fixing the corruption.
3) Windows Resources Protection detected no integrity issues. I restarted and tried the updates again, but the error persists.

Open Services.msc, halt the "Windows Update Service" and erase every item from the "c:\windows\software distribution" directory. Restart and attempt once more.

Turn off Secure Boot in your BIOS/UEFI. Restart and attempt to install updates. Reactivate Secure Boot once the updates are done.
