Hello everyone, I'm facing a tough issue today. I was working on a project that required installing a Lenovo 715q mini motherboard into a PlayStation 1 case. During the process, I accidentally damaged a Magic R30 inductor next to the CPU. I can't locate it anywhere online and don’t know how to replace it. I’ve tried a different inductor, but the PC shuts down after a few minutes, suggesting a mismatch. Could someone help me find a suitable alternative?
You might also check fleabay (or similar sites) for a used board that’s not working but still has the same parts you need. Make sure it includes the required components and matches the correct specifications before purchasing. It doesn’t matter if it’s from the same brand or model, as components are generally interchangeable. Once you acquire it, just solder the connections and it should function properly unless there are other issues.
Even with a different model, a 300nh should function. Appreciate the help! In Italy I’m having trouble finding it, and on eBay it’s mostly from China, which usually takes around a month to arrive.
Components are typically not tied to specific boards, though some parts may be specialized for particular models. When you locate a board with the same component, it should function properly. A Magic R30 inductor remains consistent across different boards.
