I recently purchased a kit or core2 2x8GB 3200MHz AVAXIR RAM but can see its speed details in any program. I've used RAM managers, hardware info tools, and CPU-Z without issues. Memtest86 and Windows memory diagnostics also passed fine. Is this normal? Should I return it for replacement? This is my first encounter with this and I'm unfamiliar with SPD on RAM.

be aware that memory die specifications aren't always accurate with SPD data.

Please note the reason behind the missing RAM speed details in your previous programs.

The only solution is to take the sticks apart, which is why you choose software from the start.

They both include heatsinks, and if I ever choose to disassemble them, it would cancel the warranty. This has always been a tactic used by stores to deter us from servicing their own components.
