For some time my PC experienced an HDD error stating “failure is imminent.” After being off for a while, it would restart normally, but today it kept showing the same message. I turned it off temporarily, then came back on and was told to choose a correct boot drive. I verified everything was connected and checked the BIOS, but it still couldn’t detect my HDD. Help is needed.
Your hard drive failed completely. It clearly warned you it would stop working, which means the responsibility lies with you for not getting a new one.
