Noted. I understand you're experiencing background activity from Windows Defender or similar software while playing games. Your previous device had a game mode setting, but your desktop doesn't support it. I'll check if this feature is available on the default settings for your system.

Navigate to "Game bar" and turn on the recording options. Begin the game, then press Win+G to access the game bar. Click the gear icon to activate "Game Mode" for that title. Make sure Windows is configured properly according to your requirements. Set up your active update times and maintenance schedule (Start → Type: Maintenance → Pick: Security and Maintenance → Expand Maintenance → Change maintenance setting). If you rarely use sleep, disable it. On the Maintenance panel, choose to start overnight maintenance when idle, allowing the system to run its tasks. In the morning, activate back sleep for a smooth restart.
