Not enough role-playing games available is frustrating.
I miss classic RPG titles like Witcher, Dragon Age, Elder Scrolls, PoE (both), and Fable. There are so many games I played that I can’t recall, even some that weren’t great but still had a strong RPG feel—unique builds, deep skill trees, rich stories, and memorable races. Nowadays everything feels rushed and repetitive, just crafting random items and building your own narrative. It’s frustrating not having any solid RPGs this year. I’m not interested in FPS or third-person games with minimal RPG elements, especially those that barely qualify as an RPG. Since Witcher 3, I haven’t bought a single-player game and I’m tired of Overwatch too. Anyone know any upcoming RPGs you think I’d enjoy? I’d love to look forward to something new. Thanks.
Torment: Stories you won't find anywhere else. It's already available in early access. You might also enjoy Divinity: Original Sin. Another title that seems a bit dated yet still worth checking is Serpents in the Staglands. Beyond those, I'm expecting the next major release to be on my list, possibly something from CDPRojektred around 2018 or 2019. By then, I also hope for a fresh Elder Scrolls entry.
The Mass Effect series is excellent and might still be available for purchase on Steam.
