I ran my system on a 6900xt and a 5800x using Windows 11 24H2. I purchased a 4070ti and built a custom loop for it. With a 1000W Gold EVGA G+ PSU, I used the included NVidia adapter (two PCIe slots to 12VHPWR). After installing everything, I connected the loop to the power supply and followed the drivers. The motherboard reported no VGA detection. I moved my old GPU into the slot, powered it on, and the second x16 slot worked with the Tuf Gaming X570 Plus BIOS 5021. It booted successfully in Windows. The 6900xt displayed normally, while the 4070ti didn’t appear in Device Manager and failed to install the NVidia app. During the first POST with both cards connected, I noticed a warning about incompatibility with UEFI firmware.

Try reducing the PCIe version to 3.0 and observe any changes.

Check for driver installation when the RTX GPU is functional and verify if the updates fix the problem.

It's not the case; the PCIe version supports backward compatibility.

In theory, the card would still perform at Gen4 x16. Note that RTX 40 series chips are already Gen 4.

Sure, I can test the card on a different motherboard if you'd like, just for a short time.

It functions well at Gen 3 configurations, and it's integrated into a dedicated hard loop, making any relocation challenging. I'd avoid upgrading to Gen 4 or reverting to auto mode, since reconnecting the 6900 would be necessary to access the BIOS. The driver update resolved the issue, allowing all ports to operate correctly without needing a Gen 4 setup.
