Locate the installation directory for Dota 2 in your Steam apps folder. Paste the path there. After that, open Steam and select 'Install' for Dota 2.

Clicking the steam icon in the upper right corner of the client opens a backup feature where you can configure it to save one file. You can then transfer that file to your PC, and instead of selecting backup, choose restore to start the installation process.
