I'm checking if my existing rams are compatible with my CPU, but the list says they aren't officially supported. My system works just fine, so it seems the issue isn't performance-related—it might affect memory controller or CPU functionality.

The information you provided refers to an article about upgrading an old 2133 RAM module. It seems the link was shared for reference, but no further details were requested. Let me know if you need help with anything else!

It shouldn't cause any damage. The officially supported RAM simply indicates AMD and/or its partners have verified compatibility with Ryzen processors. They can't evaluate every available RAM option. If a kit isn't listed, it might still function in theory since DDR4 remains DDR4. Whether it performs reliably in real life is uncertain because Ryzen has strict memory requirements. That's why this list matters. But if it works smoothly for you and you've completed stability checks without issues, you're lucky.

Work seems to be fine; likely just checked for compatibility with an AMD CPU. Other RAM kits might still function or cause issues. It should work properly. Updated September 16, 2020 by TofuHaroto Added extra note. Smile

It simply indicates they haven’t run a specific test on this RAM, nothing more. The high speed of 2133Mhz still affects performance, which is why I’d recommend another option just for that reason. https://www.gamersnexus.net/guides/3508-...ock-mclock One example to consider is the game Warhammer 2, which is quite demanding on the CPU. While 2133Mhz isn’t listed, 2400Mhz is the nearest; it performs significantly worse than even a simple 3200Mhz setup.
