Not able to locate the m.2 drive in the boot priority settings.
Woke up to discover my PC in BIOS and the M.2 card wasn<|pad|>. It appeared in BIOS but not on the boot priority list. I refreshed the BIOS, but nothing changed. The card wasn’t showing up before. My system ran smoothly earlier without any problems. What should I do? Details: Ryzen 5600X, 32GB, 3200MHz Corsair RAM, 1TB SSD, Samsung 970 EVO M.2, RTX 3060, Asus Tuf B550M gaming, motherboard. I reinstalled Windows and fixed the issue. After a boot cycle, Windows got removed. What’s happening??? Problem fixed after adjusting BIOS settings and enabling FTPM. Hope it works now. Did you verify the Hard Drive BBS priority setting beneath the Boot Priority option in Advanced Settings Boot?
I noticed my storage wasn't listed. I reinstalled and windows functioned. I adjusted the RAM speed, but Windows would reinstall itself. I've had problems changing RAM before—it usually requires several startup cycles for it to load. Edited May 7, 2023 by SansVarnic Merged comments
I verified RAM functions properly. After reinstalling Windows, the same issue occurred again. The system crashed and erased itself from the drive. Could this be related to the motherboard or CPU?
tried a different nvme drive? it seems to completely erase itself. that’s not Windows’ behavior—it looks like the nvme is failing. they switch to read-only mode, which is normal. unless there’s a boot sector virus that deletes the drive, which I don’t think exists anymore. the last time I encountered one was on an amiga from the 80s.
