Your Norton Internet Security will end tomorrow. You should decide whether to renew your plan or look for an alternative service.

Norton is the top choice for me. I’d use Eset or Malwarebytes instead.

Windows Defender works well in most cases. For extra protection, consider ESET NOD32 (it performs very well).

I renewed it. Norton doesn't deserve much of the criticism it faces. The overall experience is impressive and its performance remains strong even on older hardware. I've used Norton Internet Security 2014 on my i3 laptop for two years, and it still runs smoothly. I also suggest installing Malwarebytes for extra malware defense.

Avoid Norton, it's better to use AVG for live security, and Malwarebytes for thorough scans.

Follow my actions and obtain Avast for free; the free edition provides everything required for live defense, after that add Malwarebytes Free for its flexible scanning options.

I've tried the free version of Avira internet security—it mainly functions as a system scanner. It's sufficient for basic needs, but avoid risky websites and downloads. Scanning once a week should keep you safe.
