I recently purchased a Ryzen 7 1700X at a favorable price and have adjusted some BIOS settings on my motherboard. Noticing that certain games trigger unexpected shutdowns when I enable maximum performance mode in ASUS EZ System Tuning, and seeing TDP peaks of 120W in MSI Afterburner, I’m curious about the cause. I’m currently using an ID Cooling SE-903-XT cooler with Frost X05 thermal paste. Anyone have insights?
