I have 2 copies of windows 7 i am about to put on an underperforming old laptop. I have found there is a normal iso and a 'coem/oem iso'. I will attach a picture below. Can someone please explain which is which and recommend which on to use? thanks.
You're welcome, it sounds like you have a laptop with an OEM key and are considering using COEM ISO.
Using Win7 ensures compatibility with any version as long as it's Home Premium/Pro/Ultimate and the correct language is set. You can use either ISO keys; they don't matter much. The main distinction lies in the fact that OEM ISO might include some drivers and utilities alongside the main installer. If your key is OEM/COEM, you wouldn't be able to download the ISO from Microsoft, as they would have recommended using the manufacturer's own site and tools.
