Before purchasing another cooler, I’d reapply thermal paste and reinstall it. Just remove the cooler, clean off the old paste using alcohol and a cloth from both the CPU and the unit, apply a small amount of paste to the CPU, then reattach the cooler firmly. Updated the thermal paste on the stock cooler. Current readings show around 68°C idle for the 212 cooler at 42–66°C (similar to original conditions). Average is about 50°C. Upgrading to a better cooler seems worthwhile. Regarding the gigabyte software in the old screenshot—no one mentioned it.
