I am a seasoned PC assembler with more than a year of building numerous systems (over 60), many featuring high-end components and displays. So far, I’ve faced no challenges beyond basic software fixes or hardware swaps. This case is completely different.

Issue: I’m working on two distinct PCs, each equipped with an AIO that includes a screen. My first build used a 5600G, Manli 3070ti, B550 motherboard, Klevv C910 SSD, 16GB 3733MHz Kingston Fury DDR4 RAM, and an EVGA 700BR PSU. Everything functioned normally until I tried to set up the DeepCool Mystique 240 screen. It failed to detect it, showing “Unknown Device (Port Reset Failed)” in Device Manager.

I suspected a motherboard problem since I was using an HP Omen B550m from a prebuilt unit. I replaced the board with a new ASUS B550 and still encountered issues. Then I switched to a different AIO with a Thermalright screen (FW 240 SE), which also produced the same error. Eventually, I suspected the power supply was the culprit. After testing two other reliable PSUs, I managed to get it working briefly, but after several cycles it stopped and returned to the same error.

Next, I doubted the CPU and moved on to another build. This one featured a 7800X3D, Sapphire Nitro+ 7800XT, MSI B650 Pro-S Wi-Fi, 1TB WD SN850X M.2, 32GB 6000MHz TFSRII DDR5, and an NZXTC1000 PSU paired with a Thermalright FW360 SE AIO and LCD display. Initially, everything worked smoothly, but when I powered it on for the first time, the screen failed to appear and the hard drive wasn’t detected either—even in Device Manager.

I searched extensively for solutions over the past two days without success. Now I’m reaching out for assistance.

Steps attempted so far:
1. Replaced five PSUs, including two non-modular units.
2. Updated BIOS on both systems and enabled SATA controllers.
3. Reset CMOS.
4. Reinstalled Windows 11.
5. Checked power management settings in Device Manager for each USB hub, disabling “Allow system to turn off this device to save power.”
6. Reinstalled chipset drivers after a BIOS update.
7. Connected the hard drive from the client’s old PC, which had working SATA devices, but it wasn’t recognized.
8. Tested various power cables and outlets throughout my home.
9. Experimented with different power supplies and wall adapter configurations.

Despite these efforts, I still can’t resolve the issue.
