With the equipment I have (1080 Ti), I frequently achieve frame rates well above 60FPS in 4K, particularly in older or well-tuned titles (GTA5, Doom). I aim to turn off GSYNC and use fast-sync or lock my frame rate at 60FPS using RTSS or similar tools. The challenge is that turning on fast sync doesn’t fully remove tearing. My belief is that fast sync aims to cap frames over 60 and limiting the frame rate can reduce any pacing problems. This would be helpful in games where VSYNC causes unacceptable input lag (like Dead Space). When I set my FPS to 60, I notice fewer random or scattered tears, often just one noticeable tear near the center of the screen as I move around. Is there a method to enjoy smooth, lag-free, tear-free play on a non-GSYNC display? For now, I’ve found a solution by switching to a GSYNC monitor, which gives a consistent 30/60fps feel similar to a console.

For FAST-SYNC to function properly, ensure all components are operating without limits. The greater your frame rate, the lower the input lag will be compared to V-sync.

I handled it too. Raised the frame rate limit, turned on fast sync via the NVIDIA control panel. The stuttering is severe enough that I barely perceive any improvement when it gets fixed.

It keeps me at a steady frame rate, which helps reduce eye strain, boosts performance, and prevents headaches—definitely a win!

I've managed it. The main visual still shows up as a big tear in the center of my screen. It doesn't matter if I'm running thousands of frames per second—this game keeps breaking physics when I go above 60 FPS.
