They lean toward Gigabyte’s recommendation, though personal preference counts. Still, 'Official Support' and 'it'll work' don’t always fit perfectly.
I’d also rely more on the mainboard manufacturer listings than the memory ones, though I wasn’t sure if G.Skill might have a compatible entry that isn’t. I’ve given this one my trust before. Next time I should look at both sources. The issue is that I likely can’t return the kit since I bought it about six months ago. Someone else might have a better idea or the same unit, and they could assist? I don’t think I made any mistakes with all these settings—this was the first time I changed any voltage, frequency, or timing parameters. I haven’t done that before on any system. It’s possible I missed something. There are so many options and settings in the BIOS.
