My computer stopped working during gaming sessions with friends. The screen turned black and no sound came through. I couldn't power it off, waited five minutes, then tried using the power button but got nothing. Eventually, I cut power to the PSU to shut it down completely. Now my GPU's display ports aren't functioning properly, though the HDMI port is working. Did I damage my GPU? I've tested various monitors and cables, restarted, reset, and reinstalled the NVIDIA drivers, but nothing resolved the issue. When I connected a DisplayPort monitor, the PC recognized it, tried to show on the screen, then stopped detecting it again, repeating the cycle.

System details: CPU – Ryzen 7 5800X, Cooler – nzxt kraken 360, Motherboard – MSI Mag Tomahawk B550, RAM – OLI 16GB DDR4 3200MHz and Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 16GB DDR4 3200MHz, SSD – 500GB TeamGroup M.2 2TB Samsung M.2, GPU – MSI Ventus 3060, Power Supply – Thermaltake Smart 700W 80 Plus (4-5 years old), Case – some older Deepcool case, Operating System – Windows 11 10.0.26100, Monitor – MSI G273CQ, BIOS – American Megatrends International 8/25/22. All components were new except the PSU, case, TeamGroup M.2, and RAM, which were purchased within the last two years. Those older parts were transferred from my previous PC build.

System specifications are available, including the power supply unit's make, model, or part number. The age of the PSU is provided as well. Additionally, it is noted whether the PSU was purchased new, used, or refurbished.

Initially, I would attempt a reliable power source.

I received that one during a time when I had to save money and probably didn't update the rest of my computer.

White label? If applicable, complete junk, Tier F. Update right away!
Seems the dead DP port on your GPU is there. It might have failed by itself or your PSU played a role.
You should've chosen a new PSU sooner.
For a gaming rig, Tier A is ideal. Examples include: Seasonic Focus/Vertex/PRIME, Corsair RMx/RMi/HXi/AXi, Super Flower Leadex Gold/Platinum/Titanium.
PSU tier list:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet...JW...1973454078
Tier A is sufficient, while Tier A+ is better.
(My three PCs run only on Tier A PSUs. I use Seasonic PRIME 650 Titanium (A+), Seasonic PRIME Ultra 650 Titanium (A+), and Seasonic Focus PX-550 (A). Detailed specs and images are in my profile.)
