I recently purchased a monitor priced at 3080 but only has a VGA port. I had to use an adapter, which helped but caused issues. Every time I turn on the PC, the screen displays this message and appears blurry. After installing all the drivers, I fixed it—switched from the NVIDIA control panel to a different one. Adjust the graphics driver settings to 1600x900 at 60Hz. This might cause the display to appear blurry because it exceeds the monitor's capabilities. If you own an RTX 3080 and a 1600x900 screen, consider upgrading to a 1440 panel or a higher refresh rate option like 1080p depending on your CPU.
I've often questioned why individuals like me are present, since it seems you're not there to assist others. Perhaps consider offering something useful instead of making careless remarks.
It's set for 1600 x 900 but you can now increase it using the new GPU option.
(Glances over at the 177 solution checkmarks under his avatar) Nope, definitely never helped anybody. Look dude, I'm sorry if I made you feel silly, but your purchasing priorities honestly are silly. If you got a 3080, you're clearly not broke. Instead of trying to make this ancient monitor work, splash the nominal amount of additional cash to at least get something that's 1080p and has inputs from this century. You are simply not going to have a good experience with that display. We wouldn't be "helping" you by telling you how to nurse it along.
The feature stops after two minutes each time you power it on without the original cable. Pressing a button on the monitor doesn’t seem to affect it.
That's acceptable. Ensure the refresh rate stays at 60Hz. It might be a converter problem with the adapter disrupting the monitor input signals. The blurriness seems linked to the adapter. Look into monitor deals to upgrade, as I discussed in my earlier post.
