So many things went on—I thought I had a serious infection, but it turned out to be just a minor issue. I needed a second opinion scan while in safemode, but when I tried to boot from advanced startup, it loaded normally instead of showing options. Could one of my firewalls (Comodo & Kaspersky) be interfering with the svc host function or overriding it during boot? I noticed bootim.exe listed under 'unknowns' in Comodo. Thanks for your help!

Did you attempt to keep the Shift key pressed during the restart process?

Yea, this didn't work either though. I think I fixed it. My Firewall is relatively new permission wise and it recognized bootim.exe as a 'new process' because I have OSshutup enabled - just a big mess. Uninstalling windows right now. lol gib the pengu cant stand Billru anymore.
