I was using God of War on my new PC when a strange sound began. When I opened the menu, it disappeared and the fans slowed down. But once I started playing again, the noise returned and the fans sped up. This never happened before. VID_20221126_004944(0).mp4

The issue isn't the fans spinning too quickly; it's the strange electrical buzzing sound that isn't coming from the CPU or case fans. This noise is very loud and hasn't occurred during my first game session. Regarding your question, it's the pause menu.

It might be the noise from a fan working hard. Are you near your computer right now?

Check for any contact with the fan blades and see if isolating the fan hub helps. Which GPU model are you using?

I’ll need to listen to it later and wear the headset. The office is too loud, making it hard to hear anything except the fan.

It might be a fan with worn bearings, the noise suggests it's not just a wire, but you can verify this. The increase in RPM is typical. Test the fan's RPM to see if it fluctuates erratically between 600 and 1600 instead of smoothly rising.
