Hello. I've included a clip showing the noise you described after updating the motherboard driver. It began with that update. The computer functions normally, but the sound appears only when the PC is being shut down. Any suggestions? IMG_1709.mov

Nice to hear! The bios were updated too—really surprised by how it affects the driving experience.

Older boards produce a clear, unique relay click when shutting down, and your setup also makes the same noise—likely from the sound card. What’s unusual is that this sound hasn’t been present before. It should have been there from the start.

The BIOS is current and began functioning after applying the driver update. A friend claims the PSU is making noise when power is turned off, but this seems to have started recently.

welcome to the forum, remember to quote or mention the person you're replying so they'll see the message @Applefreak im guessing it's a buzzer that's built in some motherboards (normally on the bottom right) that beeps when error occurs and as system loses power, it may think there's an error and try to beep, before getting its capacitor/power drained too. either way i would say it's harmless
