Noise occurring at 88% of rotational speed
I own the h100i elite capellix xt, purchased three months ago from Best Buy in brand new condition. I suspect the rattling has been ongoing for some time, but it stops when the fans operate below or above 88% RPM. Any insight? It also produces a brief pause noise during pitching. Is this typical behavior?
some possibilities include dirt accumulating in the fan frame, which only occurs when it contacts a specific RPM range (the fan shifts between low and high speeds). - the fan is positioned too near the radiator, especially if set in pull mode (again, a small movement range). - it might exceed 88% efficiency, producing vibrations strong enough to cause rattling elsewhere. i've experienced the bottom fan filter vibrating due to issues in other parts of the assembly.
This seems to be a typical setup issue. The fan speed control appears to be functioning correctly, stopping when the speed exceeds 88%. The intermittent noise you described could be normal for a fan making brief pauses. Since it's a push configuration, ensure your device has sufficient power before recording.
