Noise emanating from the computer is being experienced.
Last week I built a new PC and everything functioned properly. A couple of days back I stored it on the shelf to make some holes, then returned it and checked everything recently. I noticed some noise coming from the top section of the motherboard. I stopped all fans but the sound kept going. I disconnected four pins from the CPU and left just eight. I replaced the thermal paste, rotated the radiator, unplugged the HDD. The system is running smoothly with low temperatures and consistent game performance. I’m not sure if it’s coming from the pump or the motherboard, any advice on what could be causing the noise?
Attempted disconnecting the pump to check, but I wouldn't operate it for extended periods since it will generate heat.
Could be coil whine from motherboard induction coils. If that’s the case, there is really nothing to do unless you can’t live with the noise. The only fix is a mobo replacement if it really bothers you.
Awww man creeper Jokes aside that kinda sounds like coil whine from the psu but if you wanna be sure you can just temporarily unplug the aio pump header and see if the noise persists (though dont do this for too long so the cpu doesnt start burning)
I completed the full effort for five minutes and the noise continued afterward.
