Hello, I recently installed my first PC and was concerned about that loud noise from the CPU cooler. I wasn’t sure what it meant. My CPU temperatures look normal, around 30°C when idle, and I can barely hear it unless I press my ear to the case. However, during gaming, the sound becomes much louder, which makes me more anxious even though my average CPU temps are between 43-50°C. I’ve attached a video to clarify what I’m hearing and what it might indicate. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. sound.mp4

Check if it's the fan; stop it when under load using your finger. I've almost heard liquid in heat pipes actually boil.

Updated video now shows the fan off but noise persists. This may assist in finding a resolution. 11062896_fanoff.mp4

You just assembled a 7900X and it's performing consistently. I noticed the issue mainly on the rear side of the board, especially when your ear is near the CPU socket. Changing the memory modules didn't resolve it. This hasn't happened before, and I build around six PCs each year—two dozen at work and home.

It's been more than a year since I last updated this post, and my PC has remained stable. It's running smoothly with excellent performance, though the overheating noise persists and is becoming more pronounced. I suspect the cooling system for the CPU might be the issue, but I'm unable to test or replace components at the moment.
