I recently assembled a new computer using various components, here’s what I received: a Lianli O11DXL ATX TG RGB case, an Intel i9-13000k processor, an Intel Arc A770 graphics card (I was considering a budget option for now), a Z790 carbon motherboard from MSI, 32 gigabytes of Corsair DDR5 6000MHz RAM, an MSI MPG Coreliquid K360 motherboard, and Windows 11 Home. The main issue I’m facing is these intermittent crackling sounds when launching programs or starting games. It only occurs during certain actions like opening applications or game launches, especially around company logos appearing. It also happens while playing games, particularly when switching menus or submenus, but not during actual gameplay. I’ve tested several headset types—Razer Kraken USB, Bluetooth, and others—and none resolved the problem. After trying different power settings, BIOS updates, and sound configurations, I’m left wondering if my wiring might be faulty. The situation is frustrating, especially since I invested a lot into this build and don’t plan to replace it for another decade. Please let me know what you think!

It seems there might be an electrical problem, possibly with the power supply or line voltage. Using a UPS or line conditioner could resolve this.

You can look on the MSI website for audio driver updates. If updated, also verify that your BIOS is refreshed.

I'll review more details about the power issue. Regarding the bio's chipset, I'm sure I updated it as well—I'll check that too. I plan to look into these matters tomorrow; I need to wind down now since I have a long workday ahead that I'm anxious about. Thanks again!

I also tried a product from work and it didn’t help. My bio was updated, all drivers were current, and I got a new AUX headset which worked better. I’ll share a video soon—it sounds quieter in recording but clearer in my headphones. Coolcam0301-2306.mp4
