Noctua U12A at 3900x heat output
Hi, your readings seem typical for this cooler with the AIDA64 stress test. You're seeing around 83°C on average and up to 94°C during peak loads, which is common under gaming workloads. The 75°C max you experience in some games is also normal. Since you haven't overclocked yet, it's good to monitor these temps. Your mini ITX build inside a Lian LI TU150 case with an Aorous X570I Pro board should handle the load well, but keep an eye on them as they rise.
The situation prompted me to think these aren't ideal thermal performance given the CPU and cooler you have. A high-end CPU paired with a mid-range cooler usually results in typical thermal behavior. The key factors are the RPMs and fan curve settings—possibly too relaxed. The ITX case also affects airflow, which can impact cooling effectiveness.
This suggests a temperature range of roughly 88°C to 90°C, and I also run with a full ATX case.
Thank you for the update. I observed a noticeable drop in temperature when the side panel was removed, so I’ll adjust the fan speed accordingly. During the stress test, the Noctua fan operated at over 2000 RPM, which made it quite noisy at that heat level.
