I manage a rapidly expanding WISP environment. Our team excels at quick, on-the-spot solutions during service rollouts, but we're now facing some challenges that the owner wants to address. Present context: We rely on UNMS and Splynx for CRM and network management, handling customer provisioning and configuring routers. Tower sites have limited power and backup gear, with SNMP enabled for monitoring various metrics. Splynx collects data every minute. Current issue: Frequent equipment failures or outages occur without clear warning. Only the network admin understands the full picture; others are still learning about our systems. Our aim is to find a solution that connects with Splynx, offers weather-mapping features, and can send alerts via email or automation APIs. Triggers include battery levels dropping below a set threshold or repeated network instability lasting over five minutes on a specific segment (e.g., when ping-watchdog triggers a power cycle). We’d appreciate advice from anyone with NOC or network admin experience.
