I understand I might be overreacting, but after a friend made a joke about the CPU/mobo making a loud creak sound during installation and needing to snap a photo, I compared it to other sockets. It seems consistent with what I see. Here’s an image: Thank you!

Basically if the mobo pins look fine, which you said they do. Thank you. I guess the ultimate test will be when the rest of the components ship.

Yeah, I saw the port looks uneven. Thanks a lot! It’s been a long time since I installed a CPU, and that “clunk” made me feel extra nervous.

I know how you feel - every time I put the CPU in its socket I’m amazed at the amount of force required. But it’s designed that way so don’t worry about it.
