Hello everyone, I just got a brand new PC with all the drivers installed. I noticed my games were struggling to hit 100 FPS and often dropped below 60 FPS. Is this normal? Could I have a hardware limitation? Here are my specs: CPU - Intel Core i5-4690K, GPU - GTX 960 with 4GB VRAM, RAM - 16GB Kingston HyperX Fury, 1600MHz DDR3, power supply - EVGA 450 B1 and 80+ BRONZE 450W. All temps stay around 60°C under load while I run at 1920x1080 at 70Hz. Someone, can you help me?

As @Starelementpoke mentioned, we should specify the games. From observation, the 960 tends to be the main constraint in most scenarios. A 970 would be around $200 less than that, while a 980ti would be just under $300. There could be even more favorable options if you pay closer attention.

Describing a mobile device without specifics is tricky, yet its impact on gaming isn't apparent.

Bottlenecks appear only when they directly or indirectly influence your frame rate, and a motherboard can't really help with this. Since the GTX 960 isn't a very fast GPU anymore, the drop in performance you're noticing is expected for newer games. Reduced detail might make things better over time.
