I assembled my PC in January and have faced no major problems until now. After booting, it takes a long time (nearly a minute) before reaching the desktop, at which point a warning pops up about my display driver being faulty. I’ve tried DDU several times because the software won’t open or work properly. I checked the motherboard in Armory Crate to see if an update was needed, but it’s showing all cores are at 5499 MHz. In Ryzen Master, the PPT is red and fluctuating between 94-100%. What could be wrong? I’m worried this setup might fail.
Stay calm, it won’t blow up. I haven’t had a chance to review everything yet, but I’m just trying to share quickly that nothing’s about to happen. Don’t stress.
Armoury crate could be causing some issues. In Ryzen Master the average core voltage is 1.247 and the core clocks seem fine. Since you're using a 7900X with an onboard GPU, open your BIOS and turn off the integrated graphics. This might resolve the display driver problem. (Do this only if your GPU works properly.) Long boot times are typical with DDR5 modules on AM5 systems—this is quite normal. All cores are running at 5.2-5.3GHz, including my 7700X in idle as well; nothing to be concerned about.
Trying to grasp this concept is challenging. The PPT refers to the motherboard's reading of the CPU socket power, not the actual wattage used by the chip. It’s possible there’s a sensor issue or a misinterpretation. Could Armoury Crate be using Asus motherboard sensors? I’m curious about how HWinfo64 works—does it check the motherboard data or the CPU’s real output? Thanks for sharing this to help clarify these details.
I have HWinfo set up, but I’m not sure what’s going on. I need to check if my motherboard is having a problem because my main monitor isn’t working well and I’m using the secondary one for BIOS settings.
Sleep well and thank you for your support. After checking all BIOS settings, I managed to disable the issue, so it seems I didn’t lose everything. Fingers crossed! Regarding the DOCP 1 and 2 options—what’s the distinction? Should I switch from one to the other?
