It's accurate that it remains mostly client-side, meaning little has changed for others. Focus on verifying how textures are applied—especially if they're being injected via a loader into the game. If R* detects modifications, you might face consequences; if they can confirm no changes, you should be safe. Currently, I'm sticking to SP modding and use a manager to disable or remove all mods during MP launch, though I haven't played any MP yet.

It’s likely noticeable since a texture pack could make walls transparent, allowing visibility through surfaces and providing an edge. That remains a texture-related issue.

Modifying update.rpf or common.rpf can lead to bans. Using scripthook together with other mods carries similar risks. Applying these changes in single-player mode and deleting them before going online should keep you safe.
