CPU model is AMD A4 4000, motherboard Gigabyte GA-F2A88XM-D3H. RAM setup includes 16GB DDR3 at 1333MHz. You have a 240GB SATA SSD and intend to add 2x4TB, 1x2TB, and 1x1TB drives later. The "serving files" section of a NAS requires minimal CPU usage. I've used FreeNAS for a long time on an i3 processor of similar age.
