The plastic components with screws are already positioned where the heatsink should be fastened. The manual suggests inserting the part first, then adding the heatsink, but it notes that the plastic near a hot CPU isn’t the best setup.

They're there to protect the cooler. The plastic stays cool, while the CPU heats up. On some coolers you need to take out this part instead of the included brackets. The CPU Die sits beneath the IHS, which absorbs heat and sends it to the top cooler, preventing it from radiating like a fire.

I’m not familiar with the installation method for the Hyper 212 EVO on AM4 processors. Be sure to check the user guide. It seems this model might use a distinct mounting bracket compared to the standard motherboard design, which is typically used for the original coolers.

Additionally, this material features a strong melting resistance, preventing any issues. My setup has been functioning well for two years now, especially after overclocking, consistently reaching temperatures above 80°C.

I believe the plastic is just for AMD stock coolers, but I’m not sure. I’m taking them off for non-stock models, though I’m not entirely confident.

I purchased this device around a year ago, initially installed it on my i7 9700K, but I’m now moving to an AMD CPU (AM4) setup, which means you’ll have the corresponding metal brackets available.
