You don’t need to redownload the games. Steam can automatically locate your saved copies on the SSD and load them without further installation. Just ensure the files are correctly placed in the appropriate Steam library folder.

why not just upgrade? it would have saved you a lot of trouble. the new setup you can upgrade from windows update works well, keeping everything intact—programs, games, personal files, etc. i’ve had one bug with Sony Vegas before, but I fixed it. otherwise, there’s almost no issues at all. you just need to reinstall now.

In the settings, you can specify installation directories, which helps locate them automatically. Still, you’ll often have to go through the initial setup when downloading a game. It usually takes about a minute or two. Another method is to open the game you wish to install or play and go to the SSD section.

You need to transfer the games from the Steam library folder on the SSD to the HDD. This process might be slow when you have many large games, likely requiring a full night. If the games aren't appearing in the Steam library after copying in Windows 10, attempt to re-download them, which will help locate existing files.
