Pc details: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 (delivered soon), Evga GTX 970 with 16GB RAM at 3200MHz, Asus TUF B450 motherboard (delivered soon), Corsair H150i plus three additional fans, one 1TB HDD and one 500GB HDD, Corsair RM650x power supply (delivered soon). My Windows 10 is currently on the 500GB drive; the other 1TB drive will be used for games, which I plan to swap with a Samsung SSD. Do I need a fresh Windows 10 installation? And if not, can I run Windows 10 on the 1TB HDD and remove the 500GB drive?
Sign in with your Microsoft account on Windows, reinstall the OS, and log in using the same credentials. The system will prompt about hardware changes—you confirmed it. Activating again is necessary. For improved performance, upgrading to an SSD is recommended; if you're using a Samsung SSD, installing Windows there would be ideal.
