I prefer not to install Windows 10 until official reviews are available. I also enjoy using Windows 7. If I don’t reserve it, can I still get it later? What’s the reason for reserving it?

The goal is to create a queue for smooth updates. You'll have a full year after release to download it without reserving.

You don't need to set it aside; it will alert you once you're ready to download it. If you prefer to hold off after reading reviews, that's fine too. Plus: wouldn't it be nice to update your username?
