kingpin appears questionable because its costs are only a quarter of Windows prices. I’m worried about staying connected to my PC for two months without being stuck. Switching to Linux temporarily might mean I’ll need a new HDD, and if I don’t, losing my data when moving to Windows 10 could be risky since it’s built on C and C++. Even if the codebases match, transferring to Windows might not work smoothly.
