Hello. I recently changed the firmware from version 4.1 to 5.1, hoping to fit a 3060 processor in. It didn’t work, so now I’m using a Mac running firmware 5.1. I’m wondering if this will allow me to install more than 32GB of RAM.

It seems unclear why you're questioning that—it looks like you own a Mac Pro with 64 gigabytes of RAM.

RAM capacity generally varies with the processor and motherboard. Verify the specifications for your system. Would a scenario requiring more than 32 GB be useful on such outdated components?

A 4GB RAM system with one CPU can handle 48 gigabytes. The 4GB and 5GB models support up to 128 gigabytes. See the articles for details: Everymac's actual maximum Mac RAM specs and the Mac Pro upgrade announcement.

My MacPro4,1 with just two X5550 chips ran out of space quickly—only 32GB max, or it wouldn’t boot. That’s strange since I often play modded Minecraft and use more than 31GB of RAM regularly.

You can simply add more RAM, especially if you're using Windows. The only time I checked was after installing it, which was when I was still on macOS.
