I once believed you could only boost Ryzen CPUs with an 'x' in the name. Yet, I’m not facing any obstacles when trying to overclock my 5600 in Ryzen Master.

You're free to boost any Ryzen CPU except the 5800X3D. The X series runs slightly faster than the factory settings. You've been mistaken about this since 2017, probably.

All ryzens become unlocked roughly at 4.5-4.7 with 1.25-1.3v speed (this is the sweet spot for efficiency, also best V/F on zen3). Avoid going above 1.35v unless your OC requires more than that; beyond that, voltage scaling breaks and you waste CPU cycles without real gains. Safe max around 1.45v, but it’s not worth it—dropping to 1.25v only drops frequency by about 200mhz.

You might boost a toaster's performance by increasing its power beyond its specifications.
