Sure, I'll keep it simple. Yes, getting an i5 in 2016 would still work well for 1080p.

We can't be certain since the future is constantly evolving. The best way to gauge expectations would be to look at how the I5+280X performs compared to older models like the I5 3570k and 270 in today's gaming setups. For 1080p, it should still handle things well and play confidently without major problems.

Your setup won’t be 60 FPS on Hardline with I3 280X. It’s likely to run around 60–80 FPS depending on settings, but not consistently at that number.

It’s likely yes. The mantle can assist with the CPU, offloading some tasks to the GPU. You should be able to play games smoothly at 1080p with 60 frames per second. The main limitation remains the 4GB of RAM.

soon i’ll receive 8, don’t worry. Your comment about “almost certainly game on 1080p” means it’s still possible to enjoy a solid experience even if I can’t play at 1080p with that setup. The 280X resolution remains a good match for me if I can’t hit 1080p. What do you think? Should I aim for 60 FPS at 1080p or stick to 1080p only?

The path ahead remains unpredictable. Imagine a major leap in game design could happen in just six months, perhaps with powerful multi-core processing. Or picture an alien ship landing in London and being analyzed to develop quantum computing for everyday use. My point is clear: we can't be sure of the future. While I feel confident it's possible, circumstances can shift quickly, so I might lean toward a 95% certainty.

It should work well under most maximum configurations, though you might want to lower the Deferred Anti-aliasing setting. This particular adjustment tends to be the biggest performance issue in all Frostbite 2/3 titles. Post-processing anti-aliasing is likely acceptable.

This option supports either 2xMSAA or no MSAA, and you're praising your performance quality.

For that configuration and 8GB of memory, I recommend mid to high graphics settings.

Are you sure? I’d suggest going for the highest possible level! It looks like you’re still learning.
