I ran Memtest86 twice; A2 was fine, but B2 DIMM failed, so I removed it and reformatted C: drive. I also updated Windows Media Tool to a newer version, but the problem persisted. After formatting again, I considered skipping some of the extra software and just installing GPU/Adrenalin and Windows updates. Still, the RAM RGB isn’t responding, even though it worked during the last Windows install. I’m planning to replace the GPU and reinstall drivers, then test with my old GTX 1070 to confirm if the issue is with the GPU or drivers. Despite weeks of work on a brand-new PC, I’m worried about the high cost and regret. My 15-year-old gaming PC is actually running better now.

I get it. If you decide to reset and attempt again, use the nVidia board and keep RAM/drives minimal. Just install Windows updates (which contain a GPU driver) and nothing else. Then try once more to play the game. However, it seems the motherboard might be damaged in some way.

It doesn't affect which RAM stick is in B2. If B2 consistently shows issues, B1 will still appear as expected.

I’d consider using a different power supply. Its rating is sufficient, but a faulty one could cause problems. Could you confirm whether you used the correct power supply for the GPU? It’s possible I overlooked it. Did you attempt to run the setup without the GPU and rely solely on the built-in graphics? All the power cables arrived with the correct supply, not another one. Pin configurations can vary even with the same lineup. I’d test connecting both 8 pins from the power supply to the motherboard, running without the GPU and using only the CPU’s built-in graphics. I encountered a missing GPU driver issue that traced back to an incorrect power supply. It’s working normally until I apply more stress.

alright more information time. yaaay fun. not really. So.. second RAM kit was working fine - and then I got contacted that my first kit I saved (for price reduction notice) - was now, cheaper than the kit that is currently in it (the second kit)... so I bought.. The Third Kit. We are now running G.Skill (again) 6000, with CAS 30. (the original plan) and I decided to go ahead and swap some power cables.. but noticed... in the light - (cuz it was very dark and I guess I didn't notice the first time...) this PSU has.. many sockets. This is and image of the 'white version' of my PSU, for easy viewing. SO I figured "lets just plug them all in" so top left is a sata, for my single SSD. (seems wasteful.. kinda wish I didn't buy an SSD now) then skip, then PCIe/CPU is 1 of the GPU - then motherboards needs. bottom left is skipped until PCIe/cpu - GPU, skip, CPU, CPU My new problem : everything is stuttery. In games, I chug along. I can feel the frame drop. in Youtube videos, they frequently stutter/pause while audio is going. So something is not right. I can only think of "power issue" at this point - unless this ram is... terrible. Are there ANY differences with the PCIe/CPU sockets? (at all..) I thought they were all wired/volted the same on the PSU end, and only on the component end would they have different pin outs... meaning it didn't matter which ones I used.... but .. maybe I need to use the ones on the 'bottom' only? (all 4 would be in use) should I swap the CPU ones with GPUs? (the original only used the 1 PCIe/CPU on the top row, and used both pig tails on the GPU end)
