I was thinking about purchasing a g.skill RAM kit that’s Neo, 2x32, and delivers 6000mt/s. Could I push it to around 6400mt/s or perhaps even 6800mt/s? Thanks.

As long as the device uses Hynix technology, that's fine. If it's from Samsung or Micron (CL36+), it might be more challenging.

It's feasible... But it might lead to instability. With an AMD setup, you'd likely face that issue and probably won't see any meaningful improvements since 6000MHz CL30 is already ideal for it.

I'm currently working with an AMD EXPO G.Skill Flare Flare X5 Series 64GB (2 x 32GB) DDR5-6000 kit from MSI Z790 Tomahawk inside my 14900K system. I attempted to push the clock speed, reaching 6400Mhz briefly, but it lost stability. After resetting to stock EXPO, I applied Buildzoids timing OC settings using the video provided, which boosted write speeds to 4GB/s (from 82 to 86 GB/s). My latency improved from about 80-82ns with stock EXPO to 99-100ns with DDR5-4800. This performance has remained consistent during idle, mining, and gaming sessions after a few hours of stress testing. I think this approach is preferable to raising raw frequency since my RAM voltage stays the same, and others have noted that sticking with DDR5-6000 is recommended for AMD due to Infinity Fabric support.

I believed the optimal speed for the 9800x3d was around 6400mt/s. G.skill doesn't provide any black RAM kits that are 2x32, support neo, and reach 6400.

The data includes 14900K and EXPO RAM 74-77 ns latency, around 92-94 GB/s read, ~86GB/s write after adjusting timing. With default EXPO settings, 80-82GB/s write remains consistent, the rest stays unchanged.
