PC Specifications: Ryzen 5 5600X with GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 3060 Ti EAGLE OC LHR, 8GB GDDR6, 256-bit, GIGABYTE B550M AORUS ELITE Kingston FURY Beast. RAM and a new kit are in consideration. Options include Kingston FURY Beast with 32GB or 64GB DDR4, 3200MHz CL16, Dual Channel, plus additional units later to reach a total of 2 K2 of 64GB.
In total there are 64 items, but I’m unsure if buying 32 now and another 32 later is possible or if it’s better to purchase everything at once.
You're adding RAM by placing it directly into the existing slots on the motherboard. Have you ever installed RAM before?
I believe the confusion comes from marketing language used by Kingston for describing RAM kits. K2 and K4 refer to the same type of RAM modules, not different specs. You can include any matching RAM sticks in a system, just like saying you have two apples instead of specifying a particular variety.
Ram kits consist of matching RAM modules packaged together, similar to how you'd get multiple pairs of shoes in one box, rather than separate left and right options.
